- Drug and Medical Device Liability
Rodey proudly defends manufacturers, distributors and retailers of pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter medicines, nutraceuticals, medical devices, and chemicals.
Our litigation experience in this practice extends throughout all personal injury products liability theories as well as the increasingly-prevalent non-injury consumer fraud and unfair practice areas.
We have been retained as primary, coordinating, and local defense counsel in hundreds of single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class action cases involving such products as breast implants, PPA, Neurontin, fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine, Zyprexa, insulin, vitamins, ephedra and pseudoephedrine, hormone replacements, contraceptive drugs, orthopedic implants, and a host of other drugs, supplements, medical devices, and chemicals. We understand the unique interests and concerns of industry clients in this practice area, and we welcome the opportunity to work creatively with corporate and national counsel to achieve the best possible outcome in every case.
Rodey maintains a standing Drug and Medical Device Practice Group, whose members closely follow drug and medical device industry developments and are active in DRI’s Drug and Medical Device network. Rodey’s collective drug and medical device defense experience extends throughout the firm, however.
