Ms. Sanchez is an attorney in the Albuquerque office with the Business Department. Her practice focuses on bonds, public finance, economic development, real estate, energy matters, legislation/government affairs, and infrastructure funding. Ms. Sanchez brings a wealth of legal expertise along with a diverse background beyond the legal field.
Ms. Sanchez is an accomplished attorney with over twenty years of legal experience and more than twenty-five years of expertise in government and legislative affairs. As a former Executive Director for Government & Public Affairs, she served as the senior advisor on public policy and research to top executives, playing a crucial role in formulating and implementing policy strategies. Ms. Sanchez excels in identifying public policy priorities and developing impactful programs while engaging with key stakeholders.
Prior to joining Rodey Law Firm, Ms. Sanchez served as Senior Director for Government Relations and Regulatory Counsel at a leading financial technology firm, where she managed government relationships and public policy advocacy with federal and state agencies. She was also a Partner at a prominent law firm in Albuquerque, focusing on government clients, business and regulatory matters. Earlier in her career, she worked as a staff attorney at a well-known environmental advocacy organization, concentrating on regulatory issues and renewable energy initiatives. Ms. Sanchez has extensive experience in advising on and applying for federal infrastructure grants and loans. Her commitment and diligence resulted in her project being awarded a $35.6 million grant from the Department of Energy through the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act’s Grid Resilience Innovation Partnerships program.
Originally from Deming, New Mexico, Ms. Sanchez currently resides in Albuquerque and has been a regular panelist on the television program New Mexico In Focus on PBS. Her dedication to public service includes an appointment by a former governor to the Board of Directors for a state renewable energy authority, where she served as Projects Committee Chair. With her extensive background and commitment to public policy, Ms. Sanchez is a vital asset to our organization and the communities it serves.
