Mr. Bohnhoff is a Director in the Firm. He is a member of the Litigation Department’s Complex and Commercial Litigation Practice Group and Appellate Practice Group.
Mr. Bohnhoff represents clients in trials and appeals of complex litigation in both federal and state courts, as well as in arbitrations and before administrative agencies. He focuses his practice on business and real estate litigation, including title, boundary, development and access disputes.
Mr. Bohnhoff was born and raised in Albuquerque. Following completion of his studies at Stanford and Columbia, in 1982-83 he clerked for Chief Judge Howard C. Bratton, United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. Mr. Bohnhoff practiced law at the Rodey Law Firm from 1983-1987 and 1989-2017. He served as Chief Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Mexico in 1987-1989.
In January 2017, Governor Susana Martinez appointed Mr. Bohnhoff to the New Mexico Court of Appeals. He served on the Court through the end of 2018, and has now returned to private practice.
Mr. Bohnhoff has achieved the highest Martindale-Hubbell rating. He has been recognized for his experience and expertise in business and real estate litigation in Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA-Client’s Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and Southwest Super Lawyers, among other publications.
